MYSTERY SHOWS & EVENTS

BEYOND THE CITY

Event Policies, Terms & Conditions, and Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 9, 2026

These Event Policies, Terms & Conditions, and Privacy Policy apply to events, experiences, ticket purchases, reservations, and website services operated by Beyond The City (“BTC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By purchasing a ticket, making a reservation, or participating in an event, you acknowledge these terms.

1. Ticket Sales, Refunds & Rescheduling

All ticket sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or expressly authorized by Beyond The City.

If you cannot attend an event, you may contact us to request a rescheduling option. All requests are subject to availability, applicable fees, and deadlines established by BTC. Transfers to another date, event, or attendee require prior approval from BTC.

Tickets are valid only for the event date, time, and experience specified in the booking confirmation. Guests are responsible for reviewing their booking details before completing a purchase. Arriving on the wrong date or missing an event does not guarantee a refund, transfer, or credit.

If BTC cancels an event or makes a material change to the advertised experience, we will communicate the available options and provide any remedies required by applicable law.

Promotional codes, discounts, and special offers must be applied at the time of purchase unless otherwise stated. They cannot be applied retroactively without BTC's authorization.

2. Event Details & Participation Rules

Each event may have its own requirements regarding minimum age, arrival time, check-in, seating, menus, activities, dress code, and other participation conditions. Any special requirements, including a dress code, will be communicated in the applicable event description or booking instructions.

Guests are responsible for reviewing the specific event information before purchasing tickets and for following instructions provided by BTC and venue personnel.

Some experiences may include theatrical effects, simulated incidents, unexpected sounds, temporary changes in lighting, role-play, or interactive activities. Applicable details will be communicated when relevant.

BTC reserves the right to make reasonable operational changes when necessary for safety, venue requirements, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

3. Guest Conduct & Removal

Guests must treat other attendees, performers, staff, and venue personnel respectfully and comply with reasonable safety instructions.

Harassment, threats, fighting, property damage, discrimination, excessive disruption, or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated.

BTC may deny admission or remove a guest whose behavior creates a safety concern or substantially disrupts an event, subject to applicable law. Refunds will not be provided for removal resulting from misconduct except where required by law.

Guests are responsible for their own personal belongings and for reporting accidents, injuries, or hazardous conditions to event staff as soon as reasonably possible.

4. Venue, Food & Dietary Restrictions

BTC events may take place at third-party restaurants, businesses, or other venues. BTC organizes and produces the event experience, while venue operators are generally responsible for the food, beverages, kitchen operations, employees, and services under their control.

Guests must communicate food allergies, dietary restrictions, and special meal requests before the applicable deadline. BTC may communicate these requests to the venue when applicable, but accommodations cannot be guaranteed.

Neither BTC nor the venue can guarantee that food is free from allergens or cross-contact. Guests with severe allergies should contact BTC before purchasing tickets to discuss whether their needs can reasonably be accommodated. Guests should inform restaurant staff of relevant allergies before consuming food.

Venue-specific rules regarding outside food and beverages, alcohol, seating, facilities, and property must be followed. Concerns regarding restaurant service or food preparation should be reported promptly to venue management.

5. Safety & Assumption of Risk

Participation in in-person events is voluntary. Guests are responsible for acting safely, following instructions, and complying with applicable laws and venue rules.

Depending on the event, ordinary risks may include slips, trips, falls, accidental contact with other attendees, food-related risks, and risks associated with the venue or activities.

To the extent permitted by law, guests acknowledge and accept the ordinary risks inherent in attending and participating in an event. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability arising from gross negligence or willful misconduct where applicable law prohibits such a limitation.

Guests should promptly notify BTC or venue personnel of unsafe conditions, injuries, or incidents.

6. Photography, Video Recording & Promotional Use

Beyond The City may photograph, film, or otherwise record events, activities, performances, and attendee interactions for documentation, promotional, marketing, advertising, and business purposes.

By purchasing a ticket or participating in an event, you acknowledge that photography and video recording may take place and, where legally valid, grant Beyond The City permission to capture and use your image, likeness, voice, and appearance as recorded during the event.

This permission includes the right to use, reproduce, edit, publish, display, distribute, and share the resulting photographs, videos, and recordings in BTC's reasonable discretion for lawful business purposes, including:

  • Social media posts, stories, reels, and other online content.

  • Websites, landing pages, and promotional campaigns.

  • Paid advertisements and digital marketing.

  • Printed materials, presentations, promotional videos, and other advertising materials.

  • Event recaps, portfolios, and future promotional content.

To the extent permitted by law, this permission is granted without additional compensation and may be exercised across media and platforms, including those developed in the future.

BTC will not knowingly use event footage in a misleading or unlawful manner. This permission does not authorize the use of a person's image to falsely imply their endorsement of a third-party product or service.

BTC may make reasonable efforts to accommodate guests who notify event staff that they do not wish to be featured prominently in promotional content. Incidental appearance in general crowd shots or event footage may still occur. Guests who require a formal exclusion from identifiable promotional use should contact BTC before the event so that appropriate arrangements can be discussed.

Separate written consent may be required for certain uses, close-up promotional features, testimonials, or situations where applicable law requires additional authorization.

For attendees under 18, BTC may require permission from a parent or legal guardian before using identifiable images or recordings for promotional purposes. Parents or legal guardians should contact BTC regarding the participation or recording of minors.

Guests may not record performances, scripts, or other protected content in a way that violates event rules, intellectual property rights, or another person's privacy. Additional recording restrictions may apply to specific events.

Opting out of promotional communications does not necessarily stop essential communications related to an existing booking or transaction.

12. Data Retention & Privacy Rights

BTC retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including fulfilling bookings, maintaining business records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and meeting legal obligations.

Access to our website does not transfer ownership or grant a commercial license to our intellectual property.

14. Website Availability & Third-Party Links

BTC makes reasonable efforts to maintain accurate website information and reliable services but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free website operation.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, venues, or services. These are provided for convenience, and their use may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.

Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

15. Changes to Events, Policies & Privacy Practices

BTC may update event details, schedules, activities, menus, performers, and operational arrangements when reasonably necessary.

We may also revise these policies from time to time. Updated versions will be published on our website with a revised effective date where appropriate.

Changes to policies will apply as permitted by applicable law. Material changes affecting existing bookings will be handled in accordance with applicable legal obligations.

16. Applicable Law & General Provisions

These terms are subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws. Any choice of governing law or forum will be applied only to the extent legally permitted.

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these terms is intended to waive non-waivable consumer rights or impose liability on guests where such a limitation would be unlawful.
